Grandma and Grandpa visited last weekend - here are the boys watching Dumbo with Grandpa. When Christian heard that they were coming to visit, he made sure to put in his request for Dumbo....and they delivered.

Daddy and Christian reconnecting after Daddy had been out of town for work for a few days! You couldn't diguise the happiness on Christian's face with anything!! 

Christian's shiner. He fell off some playground equipment during school and bonked his head on a metal platform. It looks worse than it is... and in case you are wondering, yes, that is a carrot that he is eating...he's actually a horsey, you know.

Christian still working on blowing out the candles! He was so excited to have his happy birthday; when he woke up this morning, mommy said, "happy birthday Chistian!" and he said, "I want to blow out the candles." So here we are, 8:00 a.m. having Christian's birthday party (cake and all!)

Introducing "Dolly"! The newest member of the family. She is a Morgan/Quarter Horse cross and is 20 years old. Mommy adopted her from the Horse Rescue of North Scottsdale (www.rescueahorse.com). She needs to be retrained a little and gain some weight (which the weight part has been much easier than the retraining). She arrived to the rescue pretty skinny and just in general bad condition, needed her feet to be clipped, etc. She is doing great now, and the boys just love to visit her and help take care of her. Christian loves to brush her and lay his head on her back. Luisy loves to help brush her too, and helps mommy clean out her hooves with a hoof-pick. Such big boys!

Christian and daddy working in the backyard! Christian was really excited to get his hands dirty and help his daddy (and his abuelo - who's working on the other side of the house) clean up the backyard. The weeds had gotten so out of control...So the Ramirez Family Landscaping business was born! So, it has been a month and the team hasn't been back out to work on the yard again - but what can you say - child labor is tough to regulate...

This one is a little hard to see - but Luisy, Christian and Daddy are all sitting at the sliding door (that leads to the backyard). They are watching a thunderstorm. The boys had been all ready for bed, had gone in and laid down, but after just a little bit the strom was just too loud to ignore. So they sat safely at the edge of the door with daddy to take it all in. 

Here are the boys after school one day (it's about 7:30 p.m. in the picture). They love to come home and play in the backyard. After getting all hot and sweaty and full of dirt - they like to have a nice outside bubblebath. The weather is always accomodating and they just have a blast. 

YUM...Christian is having a sip - of warm, dirty bathwater...Are there any adults around? Who's watching these boys?

Christian and a friend at school - getting some dinner ready. Cooking is one of Christian's favorite hobbies. He is always popping something in the oven to snack on!
