Luisy and Chrsitian have been enjoying a great weekend, which included making a chocolate cake! The boys had fun pouring the water in, measuring oil, and stirring the batter...And of course sticking their fingers in and eating some along the way.  

Does anyone have a food-handler's card? Who wants cake??? 

Christian got the hang of managing the wisk very quickly! He pretty much got it all cleaned off, even on the inside. 

Luisy enjoyed (very much!) making chocolate cake and being, as he calls it, mommy's helper! He especially enjoyed licking the bowl and the rubber scraper.

Christian and mommy!! Ohhh, how Christian loves mommy... In this picture, Christian had just finished giving daddy the "business" because daddy was going to change his diaper... Christian says, "only mommy dumps my poopy." Ohhh...lovely.

Luisy is clearly explaining something to mommy here...He's got his horsey all tied up (with a blue bead necklace) and is about to help Christian with the dishes! 

Well, this weekend was pretty exciting in the life of Christian and Luisy! They got to go to the circus on Saturday! It was so much fun - even mommy and daddy had a great time! The show is so different from the days when mommy & daddy went as kids! There is music, a band, fire works, confetti bursts, lots of singing and dancing... The show was just amazing - it was so great that Christian...ahhh...took a nap right in the middle!! Heehee...The show started at 11:00 am and usually the boys nap around 12:00 or 12:30 and right about 12:20, Christian was out cold in mommy's lap - he slept through intermission and woke up after the second half started. Luisy was just mesmerized the entire time! He reports that his favorite part was "the horses". They had "trick" riders - the kind that ride standing on the horses back, they had a choreographed horse show, etc.

Christian reports that his favorite part of the show was "the elephants". As the elephant show was happening, he kept asking, "my turn? My turn?" On the way out Christian got a little baby elephant toy and he's been taking such good care of it ever since! Luisy got a sword (that glows in the dark) and he hasn't parted with it for about 48 hours - he even slept with it tucked beside his bed!

The boys had a great week at Kids Club too last week! This summer has been really fun and exciting - they get to experience so much fun stuff on site - there was a puppet show last week...The teachers reported that Luisy "got" all of the jokes and that he was the only kiddo who was cracking up the entire time - the story is a knock off, funny version of Goldilocks and the 3 Bears. Christian, who was at the same show, heard his brother laughing and took the cue and laughed right along...They also got to play in the water jumper and had their Wiggle Worms class (toddler/preschool gymnastics). Christian's teacher, Ms. Laura is on leave right now (she took a little vacation and then is doing her 2 weeks of service for the Army Reserves)...He runs into the room expecting to see her - is a little sad when he notices that she is not there - but is doing alright...He likes Ms. Kristina very much and Ms. Kayle and Ms. Kayla.

Luisy hanging out in the baby basinett... Ohhh...Both of the boys love to climb in the baby bed and pretend that they are tiny...They both do a really good tiny-baby-crying impression! 

Well, bedtime at our house just isn't what it used to be - Luisy is all ready for bed (in his P.J.'s) but is jumping on the trampoline...Not the kind of relaxing, pre-bedtime activity that he needs!

Christian is trying to put two different cups together...He sure is working hard! 

Here, Christian is working hard at reorganizing mommy's cabinet...After he finished getting everything out, inspecting it, etc., he proceeded to toss all of the dishes into the sink! 

In this picture, Christian is sporting actual baby-doll pants :o) He's almost two, but is still so tiny! He couldn't walk too well but sure was having fun with the pink pants!! 

Now that is just love!!! 

Christian is hiding out next to the computer cabinet... behind mommy's computer bag - he gets in there and then asks, "where is Christian???" 

The boys out in the yard this morning (saturday, 7/2/06) - playing in the pool is so much fun!!! Luisy filled up our tiny plastic pool alongside the new one - he sure is safe with his floaty around his waist in there!!

Christian and Luisy are doing just great! We had a great week - the boys got to make their own teddy bears at school (like build-a-bear) and had an extra fun day on Friday when Kids Club rented a bouncer and ordered lunch! School has been so much fun, and they are just jazzed to be there with their friends...Christian's teacher will be out for the month of July, so we'll see how he does without her - he just adores Ms. Laura...He even has a doll that he pretends is her in class so that when she is not there, he has something to remember her by :o)

We had a fun weekend so far...We had a bar-b-que at the neighbor's house last night and the boys had fun swimming in their pool - Christian is getting a little more comfortable in the water (doesn't cling on to mommy or daddy quite so hard) and even floated around on a "noodle" by himself for a bit! Luisy was back to his old fishy self and was jumping off the side into the water again!

We all worked on the yard this morning and had fun getting it into shape! The grass is back, and Luisy is happy to report that it is soft! It was pretty much dead and picky (mommy got a sliver just from trying to pick something up about a month ago!). Mommy & Daddy, along with the help of the two little men (who have their own little real-life shovels and gardening tools) have replaced sprinkler heads, repaired leaks in the drip system, etc.
