The boys are doing so well!
Their school is going great - and the weather is beautiful - what could two little boys ask for?
Chrisitian has made up the best game... here is an idea of how it goes...
Christian will have his "favorite blankey" in his lap in his carseat and then he'll hold onto one corner of it and toss the rest of it across the bench to Luisy; who then grabs the blanket, prompting Luisy and Christian to get into a back-and-forth "MINE" game - Christian starts it usually as he tosses the blanket - "Mine!" he says!!! And Luisy pulls it and responds, "Mine!" They go back and forth, laughing and pulling on the blankey... Luisy is usually pretty gracious and lets Christian have the blankey back in the end.
The boys are starting to make mommy nervous - They run around crazy so much, that mommy is going to have a heart attack... Christian dives under pillows and blankets and Luisy jumps on top... Christian climbed on the tiny arm chair (which happened to be next to the sofa), up onto the arm, so he was looking over the arm of the sofa - smiling as big as could be... laughing, and then took a header onto the carpet, rolled, got up and climbed up again... What has mommy and daddy gotten themselves into?
Luisy has a funny new phrase that he uses - "Thing-a-tola" it has replaced "thing-a-ma-jig" in our house. If Luisy doesn't know the name of an item - he says, for example, "can I have the thing-a-tola?" He was talking on the phone with his grandma and said to her, "Grandma, can you see my fire truck, it goes to the thing-a-tola... it goes to the fires!"
Well... Mommy has to go, Luisy has turned daddy into a naughty kitty (using his magic broom-stick), and is putting him on time-out. Daddy isn't talking, he's just meowing... it gets stranger by the minute.

Hi to everyone!
We have had such a fun day... Our Daycare Ladies closed today, so mommy and daddy had to do a "jump and run" at 7:30 a.m. today and figure out what to do with us... so... we got to go to Ms. Deb's Daycare until 12:00 p.m., after which Daddy dutifully took us home, let us nap for two-and-a-half hours and then played until we were just about nuts! Daddy even let us play outside when the rain was stopping - there was a HUGE rainstorm by our house, with thunder, lightening and then whole works!
Mommy met us at the "tiny tunnel" (the Park and Ride) - Luisy calls the parking cover the "tiny tunnel"... We came home, played some more, had baths, read books and went to sleep like two perfect boys... Well, Luisy screamed a little at daddy first... hey, we each have a different definition of perfect... sorry daddy.
Mommy has been having a lot of fun comparing pictures of Luisy and Christian at similar ages and stages... We hope you enjoy looking at them with us! Luisy will probably steal the show with some pictures from when he was littler since they haven't ever been posted.
Enjoy our pictures and have a great day!

A morning edition:
Christian climbed up on the dining room chair this morning... and was going to take a head-dive onto the floor, when daddy caught him at the very last minute. When Christian is doing something... ahhh... let's say, adventurous, you have to be very calm about "rescuing" him - or he'll get overexcited and jump!
Luisy and daddy were playing a nice game of Boobah and action figures... Playing in Luisy's room, and Luisy decided to give back some of the love and praise that he gets from his daddy, and said: "You are really good at this, daddy." Luisy loves playing action figures with daddy, and as he puts it, "Using their imaginations." Daddy said that this is the best, most important evaluation that he's ever received!
Christian is taking a nap now... he actually fell asleep at the table when we were eating a "late" breakfast (late for us!) at 9:00. Christian still loves to take at least two naps a day - just like his mommy and daddy - too bad Luisy isn't on board with the nap schedule!

October 14-15
Christian and Luisy are doing just great! We've been having a fantastic weekend. Today the Stanley Steemer guys came and cleaned our sofas, and Luisy's little armchair. After they left, Luisy took it upon himself to use anything that could be used as a pretend vacuum to clean everything in sight! He had fun pretending that he was steam-cleaning the couches.
We played outside today quite a bit - today was the first day that we can think of this season when the entire day was nice... never got too hot!
Luisy has been keeping us entertained with his tantrums and his logic/problem-solving skills lately... here are some examples:
Threw a 45 minute fit because he wanted a Vanilla Wafer in the car, on the way home from daycare. Didn't get a Vanilla Wafter... Stoped said fit to get washed up for dinner, sat down at table and then demanded Vanilla Wafer. Did not get cookie. Took bath... just standing there, not playing or enjoying himself... then decided to resume fit. After much contemplation... he said to Mommy... "I think that I know where the cookies are hiding behind that other box in the cabinet!" How could Mommy resist... so, Luisy goes searching. Finds cookies... and says, "Yeahhh, yeah."
Luisy wants the windows down in the truck - but mommy explains that we can't have the windows down because we're driving too fast, and there will be too much wind on Christian's face. So, we slow down to stop at a red light a while later and Luisy reminds Mommy and Daddy that, "we're going slower now. Can we open the window?"
And... today at the lunch table, 'Mano' was playing with Luisy (Mano is daddy's hand - "mano" is the Spanish word for hand - for any who didn't know) and, just for the record, Mano only speaks Spanish - well, he translates sometimes to English... Anyway, Mano asks Luisy, "Quien es el?" (who is he?) referring to Christian, and Luisy replies, "that is Christian Boy..." and thinks for a minute, and then adds, "my cutie-pie." Oh, mommy's heart melted.
And... not to be forgotten, Mr. Christian is working hard at becoming just as crazy and smart as his big brother... He learned how to pull himself up onto the sofa today... without standing on something else for the extra inches. So, mommy and daddy were in the kitchen talking and cooking dinner and Christian and Luisy were in the family room playing, and all of the sudden, Christian in ON the sofa, ON TOP OF the boy kitty... smiling and squealing and laughing (not Boy Kittty, Chistian!) Oh... poor kitties.
Christian loves to give the best hugs now... This is one of mommy's favorite stages... he'll just walk over to you and climb up in your lap and put his arms around your neck and lay his sweet little head on your shoulder and HUG. Sigh. It is too cute for words.
Well... we hope you are all great... We have pictures at Walgreen's being developed now, so hopefully tomorrow or Monday we'll get some new ones up!

October 3-13, 2005
Well, just a little update to let everyone know that we're doing so well! Christian and Luisy are getting along just fine here in AZ as the temperatures finally come down and playing outside does not come with a heat advisory warning.
Today when we picked up the boys, the kids were taking a walk down the sidewalk (they were about 2 houses down the street) from Ms. Gloria's House! It was just about the cutest thing that we'd ever seen; Christian was holding Ms. Gloria's hand and Luisy was walking along as happy and safe as could be! What fun!
Christian has started to throw what we like to call "fake-cutie-fits" when we drop him off at daycare. He scrunches up his face and whines while Ms. Gloria or Ms. Dana hold him and we say our goodbyes... Mommy and Daddy just think it is so cute, it is hard to take him seriously... We guess this is his way of showing his dissatisfaction with having to go to school... Oh the difference, by this time, Luisy would have all-out fits - crying for 20 to 30 minutes after Mommy or Daddy dropped him off at school. Its nice to have happy babies instead!
Christian is starting to talk so much it is just crazy - He says so many things that mommy can understand; there are a few things that other people can too... Here's the list: Cheerios, chair, outside, up, no, bot
Luisy is smart as a button and a cutie-pie too! He is working hard at problem-solving and story-telling. We tell stories every day, we make them up as we go! Luisy's alter-ego, "LuisyWoo" goes on "Adventures" - sometimes to the swimming pool, sometimes to the Zoo, and sometimes even to the Supermarket! Luisy likes to make up parts of the stories as we go, like the parts about what they ate, what friends were there, what they bought, who they visited, etc. He is so creative... and likes to remind us by asking, "Can we use our imaginations?" Then he gets his magic stick out (really, a stick from our Mesquite tree) and turns us all into.... Voila... Kitties. And Daddy and Mommy obligingly sing the Meow Mix tune... Meow, meow, meow, meow, etc....
Well, off to finish the mommy-homework and tuck everyone into bed! We love you all... Come visit us soon - the weather is GREAT!
Luisy's quote, "The answer is, don't bring the soup, mom!" - Stated when mommy told daddy that she just needed "an answer" as to why daddy didn't want s0up for lunch (we were packing our lunch for the day) and Luisy got it... Mommy just couldn't understand... why not soup? What then? Well... not soup I guess!
Christian's quote, "Ou-tie" - Repeated over and over while banging his head on the sliding glass door, looking... you guessed it... Out-Side!
