mom and dad are great and full of fun and suprizes plus TOMORWO IS MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  bye, from, Luisy

It's been a loooong time again

But we're still here, going strong - this has become for us, more than anything, a chance to look back on a time that seems like it is soooo far in the past (except we remember much of it like it was just yesterday?!).

Now that the boys are 10 (!!) and 8, and Sophie is 5 - they use this as an opportunityt to read a diary created when they were just babies :)

We're living on a ranch - a real-life, fun-times, horses in the backyard ranch - and most of our life is captured on Facebook; and Luisy enjoys "Pinning" with me - keeping our ideas of fun things to do, places to visit and things to see.

Things are great - lots going on in the world that we (of course) cannot control, but rather must choose to live through and learn from - spending each day loving each other as much as possible - living every day in the name of : JOY!  Now - I am going to pass the posting onto Luisy -- for his first post at Arizona Baby Days!

Luisy heading out... up and over the bridge!

Silly gooses... we have a lot of fun at our house. One of our favorite things to do is sit outside at night with a nice bonfire in the fire pit and cuddle up in a blanket... this particular picture was the "make-a-funny-face" picture. Out at our new house, the nights are a little cooler that when we were at the old house; the stars are bright in the sky and it just makes for the most perfect bonfires!

The boys have had a great time watching the Giants (not to mention the Cardinals and the Jets this football) season :) Here's the icing on the cake!!!

Tuesday, January 17, 2012

Well, the Cardinal's football season may be over, but at least we still have the Giants ... they are in it to win it, as they say. The boys really enjoyed hanging out with their dad this year and catching a few Cardinals games out in Glendale, AZ. The games were packed full of fun with food and treats, and plenty of games to play and footballs to toss around at tail-gating time. The boys are excited to be getting ready to start their own football adventure this winter/spring too, as they get ready to start up their first season of tackle football... wowza, mommy is going to have a heart attack. Where did those little babies go from the posts back in 2005???

One of our favorite things to do is travel... and of course visit family. We are lucky to have family members who live in different places, all over the country, and the world for that matter! This is a picture of Luis & Christian when we took a recent trip to visit family in New Jersey. This particular trip was full of adventures, and several trips to New York City - both for sight seeing (on a bus/walking tour), as well as on food runs -- Christian, mommy and daddy all got really into a particular ceviche (with octopus nonetheless!) The boys are great little travelers, they pack up their goodies and away we go, no complaints, just good little men, and always ready for an adventure!

Sometimes we complain about how much work it is having pets... they are messy, don't have great manners and everytime someone new come to the house (or we just try to go outside for that matter) they are a pain in the behind. But, sometimes, we are blessed enough to catch them at a moment where they are sweet and calm... sleeping in our patio chair?! Is this some kind of cartoon??? Diesel... oh, Diesel.

The boys finished their first week at their new school (just about anyway) and have already been reporting that it has been a positive transition ~ although they miss their old friends, they are enjoying meeting new friends and getting to be a part of their new school community! We are so proud of our boys, they are such good little men! This week they have school pictures, a Dominoes' Pizza night, and Science night... always something fun around each corner.

The boys got new DS3's for Christmas from Grandma and Grandpa and are having fun playing with those, it seems like every minute that they are not doing homework or jumping on the trampoline. Sophie has been very into coloring and drawing and is doing an excellent job working on her "people" as well as trying her hand at writing a few letters!

We had a fun time when Abuela was here, visiting over the Christmas break... and even took a trip out to Rawhide for a day - fun in the sun, Arizona style! We'll post some pics from that fun day :)

We are really enjoying the new house, and the fact that the weather is excellent doesn't hurt when you look at the acre that it is set on... with a horse arena, the in-the-ground trampoline, the playset area, and a nice covered patio to boot... we are feeling very blessed.

We are trying to plan our annual family winter-trip-to-the-snow to sled up in the area around Flagstaff... really hope the snow holds and it works out. We had so much fun last year, we'd really like to do it again. ... also in the works, we're planning a summer trip to the Dominican Republic. Tio is graduating from high school at the end of May and we're hoping to plan a trip for a week or so to go hang on the beach and visit some of Luis's family over there - can't wait to get the tickets and make it official.

Happy 2012!!

Well, it has been years probably since we posted on here, but I figured that today would be the perfect day to begin a new journal, as the boys are starting out at a new school, and thus a new journey for my Airzona Babies :) Both their daddy and I are very excited for them, and just know that they'll love it once they get to know their new teachers and friends!! I know that they are lucky to have each other at school; as it is always nice to know that your brother is just around the corner.

We have been traveling local and around the US, have been to Mexico, New York City, New Jersey, Minnesota and all around Arizona in the last years... Camping in the desert and playing with snow in the mountains around Flagstaff... the boys are growing fast and strong. They are both excellent athletes with the brains of an honors student :)

The kids (all three of them) enjoy jumping on our new in-the-ground trampoline, riding the horses who now live in our new yard (just moved to a new house in October 2011), playing with their dogs, their DS3's, Leapsters, watching SpongeBob, Clifford, and every kid movie to come around.

Sophie having a fun minute with Grandpa

Luisy, happy that the big sliver of stone is out of his foot - what a great patient he is! No running around with bare feet at the lake anymore!

Tio... patience....patience....... no bites at all :o)

Sophie (one year old) and Mommy, Winter 09

Well... we hope that all is well! Our babies are growing fast... we're so busy, it is hard to keep up with everyone/everything ;o)

Luisy and Christian start school on Monday - Christian in Kindergarten, Luisy in first grade! They are excited to join a new school, meet new friends and have a ball learning this year... Sophia is growing by leaps and bounds, every day she amazes us - we thought that the boys were outta-this-world smart (of course, they are our kids, right?!) - Sophie already speaks in sentences, plays games and follows directions (and then again, doesn't follow directions, by choice).

We can't really hope to recap the last almost year since I posted, but let's just say that we recently took an awesome trip to New Jersey to visit family and had an awesome time. The plane rides were great, both there and back, and the visit with family was amazing! Titi Lissa married Tio Nelson... we got to ride do a Ferry tour around New York, saw the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, etc.

So -- we hope you are well, enjoying a great summer, keeping cool - and that we'll see you some time soon - come see us any time!
